  Ayurvedic Yoga Course PanchakarmaAyurvedic Cooking

When Swami Ji came to Europe for the first time he was asked what kind of yoga he practiced and to which tradition he belonged. Having learned and practiced Yoga since his early childhood he was astounded by these questions. He answered that if Patanjali, who had written the Yoga Sutras 2600 years ago, could see how many different kinds of Yoga exist now he would be very astonished about how people have put their own label on yoga and have made it commercial. In the western world Swami Ji saw a variety of traditions following each another teacher, master or guru. Swami Ji, who does not consider himself a master or guru but a human being equal to everyone else, wants to spread the original science of Yoga again, not following a certain interpretation or creating a new tradition. Only following the pure and original Yoga that has been taught in India over dozens of generations.

To western people he would like to give an idea of what Yoga really is. For this purpose he is inviting now to a spiritual journey to India. By taking part in an Ayurvedic Yoga course in Swami Ji’s Ashram Shree Bindu Sewa Sansthan, you can travel the path of spirituality while getting to know two of the most ancient sciences of the world.

Spend a holiday in Vrindavan, the holy city of Krishna and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Ashram. You can choose a program of four weeks, two weeks and one week. In each course Swami Ji and his brother Yashendu Goswami will give you a deep insight in the yogic as well as the Ayurvedic science.

Yoga means the union of your soul with the supreme consciousness. In lectures you will learn about the ancient philosophy. Practical yoga classes will show you the way to a healthy body and a relaxed mind free of stress and tension. In this way you will receive training in all aspects of Yoga: Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. Besides there will be regular meditation practice. On evenings the group will enjoy chanting Mantras together or have fun in Chakra Dance Parties.

You will eat delicious yogic, sattvic food prepared in Ashram which will help you to balance all doshas. It is Ayurvedic food that keeps the body healthy.

Ayurveda means science of life. Your body is the temple of your soul. That is why, in Ayurveda, your nutrition is very important.

In a four-week or two-week course you will also receive a Panchakarma treatment. This is an old Ayurvedic therapy that is used to clean the body of toxic materials left by disease and poor nutrition. Panchakarma is a very individual treatment which can vary from person to person. The participants will be grouped according to their personal body type and imbalances in the doshas. For each group there are different treatments necessary. In five different actions the body will be purified from inside and outside. Panchakarma is known for its beneficial effects on overall health, wellness and self-healing due to the specific attention that is paid on the individual needs of everyone.

For these treatments each person will get a specific diet according to his type of nature. The Ashram will take care of each participant’s nutrition which is necessary to achieve the best result.

For your well-being and relaxation you will daily get an Ayurvedic oil massage with well smelling and purifying herbs. This massage will be completely in line with the needs of your body.

Of course there is also enough time for leisure activities. Each week you will have one day free for shopping, visiting Vrindavan and the neighbouring towns or for a trip to Agra to see the famous Taj Mahal.

Subsequent to the Ayurvedic Yoga courses in February and March 2008 you will have the possibility to take part in a journey through the impressing landscapes of the Himalaya.  Click Here for more information.
